King Mojo – Celebrating 60 Years of Music and Community

King Mojo was a short-lived but hugely influential Sheffield music venue, operating between 1964 and 1967. In just a few years it left a lasting cultural imprint on the city and beyond.

This project explores the people, performances and experiences that made King Mojo so important — from musicians who appeared on its stage to the audiences whose lives were shaped by what they heard, saw and felt there.
