The King Mojo archive is being developed to preserve and share material connected to one of Sheffield’s most influential 1960s music venues. It brings together photographs, printed material, personal memorabilia and first-hand recollections that help document the club’s place in the city’s cultural history.
The archive includes items such as flyers, advertisements, press cuttings and personal photographs, alongside written memories from those who attended the club or were involved in its operation. Individually these items offer small glimpses into the past; together they help build a fuller picture of what King Mojo meant to the people who experienced it at the time.
This section of the website will continue to grow as the project develops. New material will be added as further memories are shared, additional items come to light and the archive expands. By combining physical artefacts with personal stories, the archive aims to preserve King Mojo’s legacy accurately and respectfully, ensuring it remains accessible to future generations.
If you have photographs, documents or memorabilia connected to King Mojo and would be willing to share them, we would be very pleased to hear from you. Contributions help strengthen the archive and ensure that important details are not lost over time. Click here to email us with details.
